Many of my friends and family have a fundamental misunderstanding of why I do what I do. It’s my responsibility to support my art, not the other way around.

We left the US for a lot of reasons. But one of the biggest was for accessibility.

You can be good at what you do, paid well to do it, and still be horribly out of place.

You’re supposed to market books these days by talking tropes. But setting aside the sword fights and ballroom dancing, I’m doing something in this book with a teen audience in mind.  Or several somethings. So if it’s okay with you, I’d like to talk about my book the way I think about it.

I’m not a fan of newsletters. So I tried moving to Substack and pretending it was just a blog.
